Supporting women’s health in different stages of life has been a core focus area at Orion since 1984. Pregnancy and menopause are normal and physiological stages in women’s life which occasionally may require pharmaceutical interventions and hormone replacement therapies (HRT).
Since 80’s Orion has developed number of different HRTs supporting women’s life in post-menopause including symptoms reduction during the most challenging years.
Menopause management
The hormone replacement therapies are primarily developed to help women with menopausal symptoms like hot flushes, mood swings, night sweating, vaginal dryness, or reduced sex drive.¹ Without HRT treatment many of these symptoms will fade after a few years, but for many women these symptoms can have a significant effect on their life and how they feel. For these women HRT may often be the most preferred way to alleviate these symptoms and get through the menopause.¹
It's important to note that HRT is not suitable for everyone, and its use should be discussed with a healthcare provider to weigh the benefits and risks based on individual health and medical history.
As of today HRT solutions developed by Orion Pharma have supported women all over the world for more than 7 million patient years*. The HRT products are developed and manufactured by Orion Pharma or co-manufacturing partners in Europe, and are available in number of countries across Europe, the USA, Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and many regions in Asia.
In Australia Orion contribute to the continuing professional development of healtcare professionals in the treatment of menopause and support the work of local associations like the Australasian Menopause [CT1] Society (AMS) to help increase awareness of the importance of treating menopause symptoms.

*"Patient year" refers to the cumulative amount of time that patients have been taking a product, typically expressed in years. So, if a product has been used for 7 million patient years, it means that the product has been taken by patients for a total of 7 million years. This measurement provides information on the overall exposure to the product.
